Second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024: who is performing and where to watch

Today, on 9 May, the second semi-final of Eurovision 2024 will take place in Malmö, Sweden, and we will find out the second ten finalists, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

The 16 participating countries will perform, and representatives of the “Big Five” countries that founded the contest (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK), as well as the host country (Sweden), will present the performances that we will see in the grand final on 11 May.

In the second semi-final, representatives of the following countries will compete for the right to advance to the grand final:

  • Malta
  • Albania
  • Greece
  • Switzerland
  • Czech Republic
  • Austria
  • Denmark
  • Armenia
  • Latvia
  • San Marino
  • Georgia
  • Belgium
  • Estonia
  • Israel
  • Norway
  • Netherlands.

Where to watch the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024

The live broadcast of the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 will start on Suspilne Kultura TV channel at 22:00.

The show will also be available online on the TV channel‘s website, on the Suspilne Eurovision website, on the official Eurovision YouTube channel, and in the Diia app (in the Diia TV section).

Traditionally, Timur Miroshnychenko will be the commentator for Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.

Can Ukrainians vote?

Ukrainians have already voted for their favourites in the first semi-final and, according to the contest rules, will not be able to cast their votes in the second show.

It is worth noting that as a result of the first semi-final, Ukrainian singers alyona alyona and Jerry Heil have moved on and will compete for the victory in the final of the song contest on 11 May.

Along with Ukraine, the following countries are in the super final: Serbia, Portugal, Slovenia, Cyprus, Finland, Croatia, Ireland, Luxembourg and Lithuania.
