Voice to public services: “Diia” will get an AI assistant function
17 July 23:00
The Diia mobile application for administrative services will soon be able to support and process voice requests. This was announced on his Telegram channel by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
He emphasized that he sees the integration of artificial intelligence into Diia as a key task for his department.
“Soon we will launch an AI assistant that will be able to find and launch the desired service based on a voice request. This is a stage of evolution: from searching for buttons to live interaction with a digital agent of the state,” said Fedorov.
The Minister of Digital Transformation added that he is simultaneously working on the restoration of telecom infrastructure and the introduction of 5G, because no digital transformation is possible without high-quality communication.
Digitalization and AI: next-generation “action”
Mykhailo Fedorov emphasized that today more than 22.7 million Ukrainians use the Diia app. The portal already offers 33 documents, more than 65 services, and 150 services.
The following updates will be available to Ukrainians in the near future
- passing the driving license exam online;
- car customs clearance;
- change of surname;
- consular services;
- launch of eAcces, eNotary;
- patient’s personal account;
- the most convenient pension application procedure in the world;
- a separate service track for veterans.
Analytics and data for management: a single dashboard for the government
According to the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, high-quality data is the basis of modern public policy.
“We are already using real-time analytics in drone distribution systems, school monitoring (Palantir), the Mriya educational project, digital services, and military decisions,” he said.
“The next step is a single dashboard for the entire government that will provide a complete picture in real time. This is a tool for systematic, efficient and informed decision-making.
Innovations in defense: technologies that change the course of war
Today, a powerful defense tech ecosystem is being formed in Ukraine, which already includes more than 1,500 manufacturing companies – from UAVs to electronic warfare systems, missiles and ammunition. One of the breakthroughs was the Army of Drones.Bonus system, which actually changed the rules of the game. An artificial intelligence-based solution has already been created to detect and neutralize the “Shahed”, and now the key task is to scale up the developments.
The President of Ukraine has clearly outlined a priority: accelerating the implementation of innovations in the defense sector. Together with the new Minister of Defense, we plan to combine our experience, resources and technologies to realize this task,” confirmed Mykhailo Fedorov.
