Odessa Endured a Massive Nighttime Attack: What Is Known About the Aftermath

On the night of Tuesday, September 2, Russian troops launched a new massive attack on Odesa.
Serhiy Lysak, head of the Odesa City Military Administration, reported on the consequences of the attack, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to him, damage to infrastructure was recorded in the city. There is also preliminary information about the destruction of residential buildings.
“Preliminary reports indicate that three people were injured as a result of the Russian attack. Among them is a child,” the head of the Military Administration noted.
Rescue workers, medical personnel, law enforcement officers, and utility services are working at the sites of the strikes.
What is known about the victims
According to initial official reports, three people were injured in the attack. Among them is a minor.
Local authorities have not yet specified the ages of the victims, the nature of their injuries, or their current condition. It is also unknown whether they required hospitalization.

Odessa has been under attack for several nights in a row
The latest attack came amid intensified Russian strikes on Ukraine’s southern regions.
In recent days, Russian forces have attacked port, border, energy, and logistics infrastructure in the Odesa region. One of the strikes temporarily shut down the Orlivka border crossing on the Ukrainian-Romanian border.
Russia is systematically attacking not only industrial and transportation facilities in the region but also residential areas. Debris and shock waves are destroying apartments, private homes, cars, and civilian infrastructure.
