Law enforcement officers and doctors are already checking the disability of officials

The Ministry of Health, together with law enforcement agencies, is reviewing decisions on the establishment of disability for officials. This was reported by the Ministry of Health, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
As noted in the report, as of the end of November 2024, according to the SBU, the State Bureau of Investigation and the Office of the Prosecutor General, a list of 1695 officials from more than 30 state bodies has been compiled. They have been sent for examination of the validity of decisions made against them by medical and social expert commissions.
In particular, among the selected cases to be reviewed:
32 % – employees of the tax authorities of Ukraine;
26% – employees of the prosecutor’s office;
17% – employees of the customs service;
25% – employees of other state bodies.
The Ministry of Healthcare also clarifies that the list of persons whose cases are subject to review is increasing as additional data is received from law enforcement officials.
How many prosecutors in Ukraine have the status of a person with a disability?
MP Oleksiy Honcharenko asked the Prosecutor General’s Office about this. He published the answer to his parliamentary inquiry in Telegram.
The main figures:
– the prosecutor’s office of Ukraine currently employs 831 employees who have the status of a person with a disability, including 524 prosecutors;
– the Prosecutor General’s Office has 66 employees with the status of a person with a disability, including 26 prosecutors;
– the SAPO has 3 such employees, including 2 prosecutors;
– there are 762 such persons in regional and district prosecutor’s offices, including 496 prosecutors;
– out of this number of prosecutors, 8 first deputy and deputy heads of regional prosecutor’s offices have the status of a person with disabilities;
– there are currently no employees with the status of a person with disabilities among the heads of regional prosecutor’s offices.
It should be added that the verification of the validity of the decisions of the MSEC on the establishment of disability for officials will continue for the next two months, and in case of unjustified decisions, they will be reviewed in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of December 3, 2009, No. 1317.
As you know, the government has approved a draft law developed by the Ministry of Health to liquidate the MSEC in its current form by January 1, 2025. Starting next year, expert teams for assessing the daily functioning of a person, consisting of practicing physicians, will start working.
