Over 9 months, Ukrainians imported cars worth $3.3 billion: from which countries most of them came

Between January and September, Ukraine imported $3.27 billion worth of passenger cars, up 14% year-on-year. This is reported by the Ukravtoprom association, citing data from the State Statistics Service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to the State Statistics Service, 239 thousand passenger cars (used and new) were imported to Ukraine from January to September. This is 9% more than in the same period in 2023.
The largest supplier of passenger cars was Germany, from where 47.5 thousand cars were imported to Ukraine.
The top three exporting countries also included the United States and China.
Top 10 countries of passenger car suppliers:
- 1. Germany – 47527 units;
- 2. USA – 37367 units;
- 3. China – 28653 units;
- 4. Japan – 24065 units;
- 5. France – 12565 units;
- 6.Korea – 12497 units;
- 7. Czech Republic – 10501 units;
- 8. Slovakia – 10361 units;
- 9. Great Britain – 10151 units;
- 10. Mexico – 10066 units.
The statistics show the growing popularity of electric vehicles in Ukraine and indicate the regions where these cars are in greatest demand. The demand for electric vehicles grew by 68% over the year.
Meanwhile, the West is fighting the Chinese electric car industry: The EU is ready to take tough measures against Chinese electric cars, and the US will quadruple tariffs on them.
