In September of this year, 401 auctions were announced to sell the assets of banks being liquidated by the Deposit Guarantee Fund (DGF). This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the DGF.
According to the fund, 36 auctions for the sale of assets of 7 banks were the most successful, with the amount of successful bidding amounting to more than UAH 37.8 million.
In particular, 43.6% of this amount – UAH 16.5 million – was the sale of claims on loans that were on the banks’ balance sheets, and the rest was the sale of real estate (UAH 14.2 million), land (UAH 3.6 million), transport (UAH 3.2 million) and fixed assets (UAH 0.4 million).
Results of successful auctions for the month among Ukrainian banks:
- PJSC Prominvestbank – UAH 14.2 million;
- JSC UKRBUDINVESTBANK – UAH 8.7 million;
- JSC BANK SICH – UAH 6.3 million;
- JSCB CONCORD – UAH 5.0 million;
- JSC MR BANK – UAH 1.9 million;
- JSC MEGABANK – UAH 1.3 million;
- JSC BANK FORWARD – UAH 0.4 million.
As of today, UAH 7.5 million was received for 19 lots as a result of successful auctions in September. At the same time, funds for 17 lots in the amount of UAH 30.3 million are still expected.
It is worth noting that if the winner of the auction refuses to transfer the funds for the lot, he forfeits the guarantee fee, and the right to purchase the assets passes to the next auction participant, if there was one.
In addition, in September, banks received another UAH 0.05 million from the direct sale of assets.
As a reminder, the proceeds from the sale of assets are used to settle accounts with creditors of banks undergoing liquidation.
Auctions for the sale of assets are held in the electronic system Prozorro.Sale. Anyone can take part in the auction, except for borrowers and guarantors of the loan put up for auction, as well as the Russian Federation or persons associated with the aggressor state. The winner of the auction is the bidder who offers the highest price for the lot.
