The damage is over a million dollars: Russia destroys production of freeze-dried food for the military

During a missile and drone attack on Kyiv on June 17, the occupiers destroyed a freeze-dried food production facility that produced products under the brand name “Kharchy”. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the manufacturer’s online store page on Facebook.
The business posted a photo of the production facilities, which were completely destroyed by fire after a UAV crashed into the building.
“Everything we have earned over the years has been invested in our company. We developed the latest sublimation technologies. And now, such a horror….. There is nothing left, everything is burned,” the article says.
The facilities of TM Kharchy were located at 9 Boryspilska Street. This area was heavily damaged during the massive attack on Kyiv on Tuesday, June 17. A fire that occurred after a drone strike burned down 800 square meters. The damage amounted to $1.5 million.
The owner of the business, Stanislav Starodubtsev, believes that the Russians deliberately sent the drone to his company.
“I lost a lot, this is my life’s work. It was a targeted drone attack on the company,” Starodubtsev said.
He also added that he is already looking for funds to resume production and has no intention of shutting down his business.
The Ukrainian-made freeze-dried food online store was launched in 2017. The production buildings have already suffered during the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Armed Forces: on September 21, 2023, a rocket fell near them.
The trademark offered Ukrainians freeze-dried meals of domestic production. They were especially in demand among travelers, tourists, and the military.

What you need to know about Stanislav Starodubtsev and his business
Mr. Starodubtsev is the director, owner and ultimate beneficiary of Natural Products LLC and TD Natural Products LLC.
Natural Products LLC was founded in April 2004. The authorized capital at that time amounted to UAH 3 million. Of this amount, 90% (UAH 2 million 700 thousand) was contributed by Mr. Starodubtsev himself, and 10% (UAH 300 thousand) by Olena Starodubtseva.
As of 2024, the production revenue amounted to UAH 12,700 thousand. Net profit showed negative amounts.
TD Natural Products LLC was founded in March 2009. The authorized capital amounted to UAH 60 thousand 500 and was divided between Stanislav and Olena Starodubsky. The total income in 2024 amounted to UAH 12,100.
