Ukraine’s women’s handball team qualifies for Euro 2024

Ukraine’s women’s national handball team has qualified for the European Championships, Komersant ukrainskyi
reports.
In the last match of the Euro qualifiers, the Ukrainians drew with the Slovak national team – 25:25. This result allowed them to gain 7 points and take second place in the group, which gives them the right to participate in the final tournament. Germany became the first team in our qualifying group with 12 points, Slovakia took the third place (5 points), and Israel was in last place (0 points). The Slovak team also qualified for the championship, as they were among the teams that took third place with the best results
The European Women’s Handball Championship will be held from 28 November to 15 December this year in Hungary, Switzerland and Austria. The Ukrainian national team is returning to the European Championships after a ten-year break – in 2014, our team took 16th place at the championships in Hungary and Croatia.
The Ukrainian women’s handball team is a bronze medallist at the 2004 Olympic Games and a silver medallist at Euro 2000.
