on November 1, power outage schedules will remain in effect, but will be milder
1 November 04:55
On Saturday, November 1, Ukrainian regions are going to have scheduled power cuts. However, the restrictions will be less severe, Ukrenergo reports on Telegram, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“On November 1, in some regions of Ukraine, measures will be taken to limit consumption,” Ukrenergo said. –
The reason for the restrictions is the consequences of massive Russian missile and drone attacks on energy facilities.
How the power will be cut off
According to the company, from 08:00 to 10:00 and from 15:00 to 22:00, hourly outage schedules of 0.5 queues will be in effect for household consumers. In addition, from 08:00 to 10:00 and from 15:00 to 22:00, power limitation schedules for industry will be in effect.
The scope and timing of blackout schedules can be changed throughout the day.
Who determines the number of queues in the regions
The decision on the number of LFC queues to be applied in certain regions is made by the chief dispatcher of Ukrenergo. It depends on the level of electricity deficit in a particular region, consumption volumes, number of industrial facilities and critical infrastructure enterprises.
“Consumption in different regions of Ukraine differs significantly, so blackout schedules are formed individually for each regional power company,” the Ministry of Energy said.
What the energy companies ask
Energy companies urge Ukrainians to use electricity as economically as possible:
- not to turn on energy-intensive appliances at the same time,
- limit the use of electric stoves, boilers, and air conditioners,
- turn off lights in rooms where no one is present.
