On Friday, August 1, a Day of Mourning has been declared in Kyiv to commemorate the victims of the massive Russian attack that took place on the night of July 31.

This was announced by Mayor Vitali Klitschko in his Telegram, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“Tomorrow, August 1, is declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv. In memory of the victims of the massive enemy attack on the capital,” he said.

Flags on all municipal buildings in the city will be at half-mast, and it is recommended to do the same on public and private property. There will be a ban on all entertainment events in Kyiv.

As a reminder, 15 people, including one child, were killed in the nighttime shelling of Kyiv by drones and missiles. Significant damage was reported, including to three medical facilities.
