10.5 million UAH in 5 days: where Okean Elzy will spend the money from their anniversary concerts in Kyiv

Okean Elzy raised UAH 10 million 557 thousand from five concerts of Okean Elzy. 30 years old. That day. All these funds will be used to help the Ukrainian Defence Forces. The band announced this on their social media, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“From 11 to 16 October 2024, an unprecedented series of performances took place at the Kyiv Sports Palace: 5 consecutive concerts by Okean Elzy became an absolute record at this venue. And we all became not just participants in the event, when we were together again in an incredible atmosphere of warmth, sincerity, mutual support, but also helped our defenders to the tune of UAH 10,557,000,” the band wrote on social media.
In particular, the group plans to allocate UAH 10 million 200 thousand directly to the defenders, having previously agreed on the needs with the brigade commanders.
And UAH 357,000 from the sale of charity merchandise will be used for a joint project of OE with SoftServe Ukraine and the Open Eyes Foundation, which aims to purchase and deliver 30 medical vehicles for combat medics directly to the front line. The group reported that the first vehicle has already been delivered to the medics of the 197th separate infantry battalion of the 79th Air Assault Brigade.
“We thank everyone who was with us!” the band added.
