16-year-old Ukrainian became the absolute champion of the Grand Prix in rhythmic gymnastics in Thiers

Sixteen-year-old Taisiia Onofriychuk became the absolute champion of the individual competition, and the Ukrainian team won 9 awards in total at the third stage of the Grand Prix in rhythmic gymnastics in Thiers, France. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine.

The third stage of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix of the 2025 season has ended in Thiers, France. The Ukrainian team won nine awards, and Taisiia Onofriychuk became the absolute champion of the individual competition.

According to the Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation, on the first day of the competition, the Ukrainian team won two awards: gold and bronze. Taisiia Onofriichuk became the all-around champion, and Polina Karika won a bronze medal in this discipline. Anastasia Ikan was the fourth. The national team took fourth place in the all-around in group exercises.

On the second day of the Grand Prix, the Ukrainian team won seven awards: four gold, two silver and a bronze.

All the gold medals went to Taisiia Onofriichuk, who, after her success in the all-around, won the finals in hoop (30.150), ball (28.550), clubs (28.650), and ribbon (28.600).

Polina Karika won silver in the hoop competition and bronze in the clubs final.

The Ukrainian national team won silver in the group exercises in the five-ribbon final.

Ukraine’s application for the Grand Prix in France in the individual events includes three athletes: Taisiia Onofriichuk, Polina Karika, and Anastasiia Ikan. Ukraine was represented in the team by Polina Gorodnycha, Valeria Peremeta, Kira Shirikina, Nadiia Yurina, Oleksandra Yushchak, and Leila Yusifzad.

The fourth stage of the Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix will take place on April 4-6 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
