180 billion hryvnia on medicines: who earns the most from pharmaceutical distribution in Ukraine

The ten largest pharmaceutical distributors in Ukraine earned UAH 180.3 billion in revenue in 2025, which is 5.7% more than a year earlier. BaDM and Optima-Pharm remain the market leaders, together controlling almost 80% of the top 10’s turnover.

What the market results show
Two companies — BaDM and Optima-Pharm — remain the undisputed leaders in pharmaceutical distribution. Their combined revenue in 2025 exceeded UAH 143 billion, which is almost 80% of the turnover of the top 10 players.
Venta. LTD ranks third with a turnover of over UAH 9 billion. The rest of the companies have revenues in the range of UAH 3-5 billion, forming the second echelon of the market.
Sanders Loft showed the highest growth in 2025, with its revenue increasing by 71.5% to UAH 3.2 billion. Ametrin FC (28%), Teva Ukraine (21%), and Delta Medical (21%) also grew rapidly.
At the same time, the M.T.K. Medical Center was the only company to experience a sharp drop in turnover: its revenue fell by almost 29% compared to the previous year.
As a result, the total turnover of the ten largest pharmaceutical distributors grew from UAH 171.5 billion in 2024 to UAH 180.3 billion in 2025, confirming the continued growth of the wholesale drug supply market in Ukraine.
According to YouControl, most of the top 10 companies have been operating in the market for over ten years and have a stable customer base among pharmacy chains and medical institutions. The oldest players are Optima-Pharm, Venta, and Kusum, which have been operating since the 1990s.
The pharmaceutical distribution market in Ukraine remains one of the most concentrated in Europe: a few large companies generate the bulk of turnover, while dozens of smaller players operate in niche segments or as partners of international pharmaceutical manufacturers.
