Power outages are scheduled across Ukraine on March 21: when the restrictions will be in effect
21 March 04:00
On Saturday, March 21, hourly power outage schedules were implemented across all regions of Ukraine. The restrictions will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. This was reported by NPC Ukrenergo, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
Why are the outages being implemented?
The restrictions were introduced due to the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
The energy company notes that damage to power grid facilities has made temporary power supply restrictions necessary.
When will the restrictions be in effect
According to energy officials:
- power outage schedules will be in effect from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
- power restrictions also apply to industry
- hourly outages are planned for residential customers.
Where to check the schedules
Up-to-date information on outage times in a specific city or region can be found:
- on regional power companies’ websites
- on the social media pages of energy companies
- on local Telegram channels of power grid operators.
Ukrainians were urged to conserve electricity
Ukrenergo has also appealed to consumers to use electricity rationally once power is restored.
Energy officials emphasize:
When electricity is supplied according to schedule, it is important to use it sparingly.
The situation may change
Energy officials emphasize that the situation in the power grid remains dynamic, so schedules may be adjusted depending on:
- consumption levels
- the condition of the grids
- the results of repair work.
Ukrainians are asked to follow official announcements.
