32 cases due to a technical error: The Ministry of Defense explains the situation regarding the counting of women

10 April 19:56

In Kharkiv, due to a technical glitch at the regional recruitment center (RRC), at least 32 women were mistakenly registered for military service and placed on a wanted list.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

What the Ministry of Defense Says

Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov stated that the situation arose due to a technical issue at one of the district TCCs.

According to him:

  • no fines were issued to any of the women;
  • all restrictions have already been lifted;
  • the “wanted” status has been removed.

He also ordered that the technical issues be resolved to prevent similar incidents in the future.

What caused it

The Ministry of Defense explained that:

  • the women were mistakenly entered into the military registry;
  • this triggered the automatic display of the “wanted” status;
  • the problem arose due to a malfunction in the local TCC system.

The situation is also attributed to procedural flaws and human error.

What has already been done

The agency states that:

  • the “wanted” status for all victims was removed two weeks ago;
  • errors have also been corrected in the Reserve app;
  • full removal from military registration will take place by the end of April.

What will change

The Ministry of Defense plans to:

  • introduce technical safeguards;
  • minimize the impact of human error;
  • improve the registration system to prevent similar incidents.

The incident occurred against the backdrop of the sensitive issue of military registration of women, which regularly sparks public outcry and a wave of misinformation.
