The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has released information about the activities of 41 enterprises belonging to the Russian concern Uralvagonzavod, which supplies armored vehicles to the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The GUR reported this on Facebook, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The War&Sanctions portal has published a detailed list of 41 enterprises that are part of or under the control of the Uralvagonzavod concern.
Uralvagonzavod is an armored vehicle holding company of the Russian state corporation Rostec. It plays a key role in supplying the Russian Armed Forces with armored vehicles.
The concern’s enterprises manufacture and modernize T-72B3M, T-80BVM, T-90M, T-90MS “Proryv” tanks, TOS-1A “Sontsepok” heavy flamethrower systems, tank support combat vehicles (BMPT), and armored repair and evacuation vehicles (BREM).
In addition, the concern manufactures railway cars for transporting personnel and military equipment on behalf of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Since 2022, Uralvagonzavod’s enterprises have significantly reduced the production of civilian railcars in favor of fulfilling state defense orders.
Despite the holding’s strategic importance for waging war against Ukraine, 23 of the concern’s enterprises are still not subject to sanctions by any of the countries in the sanctions coalition.
These include a design bureau that developed railway platforms for transporting Russian tanks to the combat zone, manufacturers of training stands and simulators for armored vehicle crews, and enterprises that provide the concern’s main production activities with resources, equipment, and related services.
Currently, the “Aggressor’s Military-Industrial Complex” section of the War&Sanctions portal contains information on 429 enterprises that are part of or managed by five holdings of the Rostec corporation.
For each of them, identification data, functions within the holding company and Rostec as a whole, a diagram of connections and subordination, as well as information on the sanctions applied are provided.
The GUR emphasized that the publication of such data is intended to help responsible businesses verify their contractors and terminate cooperation with companies that directly support Russian military aggression, as well as to promote the synchronization of sanctions policies among Ukraine’s partner countries.
