52% believe that “Servant of the People” hinders development – according to a KIIS poll

The Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS) has released the results of a new survey, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to the survey:
- 52% of Ukrainians believe that the activities of the Servant of the People party hinder the development of the state.
- 25% are convinced that the ruling party, on the contrary, works in favor of Ukraine.
- Another 23% of respondents were undecided.
This shows that more than half of the citizens assess the activities of the “servants” rather negatively, but the level of distrust has decreased compared to the beginning of the year.
How have the dynamics changed?
In February 2025, the mood was even more critical:
- 61% considered the party’s activities harmful,
- only 19% rated it positively.
Now, the number of those who see the party as “useful” has increased by almost a third, which may indicate a certain rollback from the peak of distrust.
What about other parties?
- “Batkivshchyna: 48% believe that the party harms the state, 25% – that it helps.
- “European Solidarity: 38% assess it positively, 36% – negatively.
- “Platform for Life and Peace”: only 15% see the party’s activities as beneficial, while 43% consider them harmful.
Thus, there is no political force in society with unequivocal support – all major parties polarize voters.
Why is this important?
Ratings and trust in parties shape the political landscape ahead of the election campaigns that will inevitably take place after the war ends.
- “The Servant of the People remains the ruling party, and a rate of more than 50% negative ratings could pose a serious challenge to its future electoral performance.
- Instead, a decrease in the level of criticism may indicate the effect of “anti-rating fatigue” or a positive perception of certain government decisions.
How was the research conducted?
- The survey was conducted on September 19-28, 2025.
- Method: telephone interviews based on a random sample of mobile numbers.
- A total of 1029 respondents over the age of 18 participated.
- The survey covered only the territories controlled by Ukraine.
- Maximum error: ±4,1%.
It should be reminded that the political mood of Ukrainians in recent years has been closely linked to the war and economic difficulties. The ruling party, which received record support in 2019, has faced a gradual decline in trust. Against this backdrop, other political forces are trying to find their place, but they do not have a clear majority of positive assessments.
