on December 7, power outage schedules will be significantly tightened: details

6 December 22:04

Tomorrow, on Sunday, December 7, power outage schedules will continue to operate in Ukraine. During the day, 3 to 4 lines will be turned off simultaneously.

This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to Ukrenergo’s Telegram.

The company informed that consumption restriction measures will be applied in all regions of Ukraine. The reason for this was the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on power facilities.

Thus, tomorrow the following restrictions will apply in Ukraine

  • from 00:00 to 23:59 – schedules of hourly power outages for household consumers in the amount of 3 to 4 queues;
  • from 00:00 to 23:59 – schedules of power restrictions for industrial consumers.

Ukrenergo also warned that the time and scope of the restrictions may change, so it urged Ukrainians to follow the company’s social media posts.

In addition, citizens were asked to conserve electricity after it is turned on according to the schedule.

Russian strikes on the energy sector

As a reminder, on the night of December 6, the Russians again launched a combined attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

In particular, the missiles and drones hit power generation, distribution and transmission facilities in Kyiv, Chernihiv, Lviv, Odesa, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions.

DTEK also reported that Russia attacked its thermal power plants in different regions of the country, damaging equipment.
