On the night of February 15-16, A-Bank suffered one of the largest hacker attacks. Some customers faced unauthorized debits. This was reported by the bank’s press service, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“This was a new type of attack, previously unknown to the banking system. However, we can now confidently say that we have dealt with it, repelled it, and ruled out the possibility of similar attempts in the future,” the statement said.
The bank assured that the situation is now completely under control.
“We have returned every penny stolen by the fraudsters to the accounts of the victims. None of our customers have suffered financial losses. We have seen all your messages and concerns and have deliberately taken a pause to focus on real actions and assistance instead of words,” the bank said.
The bank assured that the system is secure and that efforts are currently being made to expose the fraudsters. There are currently no risks — the funds are safe and securely protected. A-Bank assures that it is doing everything possible to ensure that customers are confident in the security of their funds.
A-Bank serves over 4 million customers throughout Ukraine. In 2025, the bank earned UAH 1.8 billion in profit, more than double last year’s figure.
