Kyiv International Airport will be able to start receiving passengers a month after the announcement of the opening of the country’s airspace. Denys Kostrzhevskyi, Chairman of the Airport’s Board of Directors, said this in an interview with Ukrainian News , Komersant ukrainskyi
reports.
“From a military point of view, Kyiv Airport is in a completely unusable condition. Planes cannot land or take off. This is on the one hand. But, at the same time, the airport is in such a state that all the damage, all the measures that have been taken to prevent the enemy from using the airfield can be quickly repaired,”
– kostrzewski said.
He assured that Kyiv Airport will be ready to receive passengers in a month from the moment the decision to open the airspace over Ukraine is made.
“The equipment is in good condition, the specialists are ready,” he said,
– he added.
According to him, the airport is currently under heavy security.
