21 July 12:39
The Prosecutor General’s Office and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) have reported the exposure of the current MP from the banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, Fedir Khristenko, in cooperation with the Russian Federal Security Service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Khristenko turned out to be a resident (senior agent) of the Russian federal security services, who worked to strengthen Russian influence on the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU).
After a full-scale invasion began, Fedir Khrystenko fled abroad and continued his illegal activities from there.
“It has been established that the MP was recruited by the federal security services of the Russian Federation during the Yanukovych regime,” the PGO said.
According to the investigation, Fedir Khrystenko is currently in close contact with Yuriy Ivanyushchenko (known as Yura Yenakiyevsky), who is a resident of the FSB and a “lookout” for the “DPR” from the Russian special service. In addition, Khrystenko was a liaison of the collaborator Armen Sargsyan (known as Armen Gorlivsky), who died in an explosion in one of Moscow’s elite residential buildings in early 2025.
According to the SBU, Khrystenko actively performed tasks for the Russian special service during the Revolution of Dignity. In particular, to organize the Anti-Maidan, he used private carriers under his control to transport “titushky”.
Relations with NABU and the oligarch’s escape
The Prosecutor General’s Office reported that Khrystenko had close ties to NABU leaders, including Ruslan Magamedrasulov, the head of one of the NABU’s interregional detective departments, who is also suspected of aiding Russia.
“Among his connections is Ruslan Magamedrasulov, who was served with a notice of suspicion of aiding the aggressor state by the prosecutor‘s office today,” the official statement said.
In addition, Khrystenko was in contact with Oleksandr Skomarov, head of the NABU detective unit. The investigation found that in 2022, Skomarov’s wife left Ukraine in a car belonging to Khrystenko’s family.
Moreover, Skomarov’s subordinates – NABU detectives – helped oligarch Hennadii Boholiubov cross the state border. In particular, it was found that two NABU employees accompanied the fugitive oligarch on a train during his escape abroad.
In addition, according to the information available to the investigation, another Ukrainian oligarch, Ihor Kolomoisky, also planned to resolve his criminal cases with the help of Oleksandr Skomarov if he won the competition for the position of head of the Bureau of Economic Security, in which he participated.
Charges and next steps
“Prosecutors of the Prosecutor General’s Office notified MP Fedir Khrystenko in absentia of suspicion of treason committed by a group of persons under martial law,” the agency reports.
Currently, he has been notified of suspicion in absentia under the following articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- ч. 2 of Art. 369-2 (abuse of influence).
- ч. 2 of Art. 28, Part 1, Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed by prior conspiracy by a group of persons under martial law).

During the searches of Khrystenko’s contacts, they found materials of NABU criminal proceedings, including documents of covert surveillance of the defendants, as well as questionnaires of candidates for detectives of the Bureau. The SBU says this is evidence of Russian influence and systemic leaks of information from the anti-corruption agency.
The pre-trial investigation is currently underway. Under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor General’s Office, the SBU continues to document the facts of Russian intelligence infiltration of the NABU and expose employees who collaborate with the enemy.

As a reminder, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the SBU exposed and detained Ruslan Magamedrasulov, head of one of the NABU’s territorial detective departments. During the investigation, it was established that the Bureau’s senior official had close contact with MP from the banned OPFL party Fedir Khrystenko, who fled the country and is cooperating with the Russian special services and influencing the NABU’s activities.
