Andrey Matyukha and Favbet Foundation: How the master class for teenagers “Ticket to IT” was held
20 June 17:30
The IT Kids program of the Favbet Foundation ‘s charitable foundation held a master class “Ticket to IT”, which brought together dozens of teenagers interested in digital technologies. The event was aimed at familiarizing young people with promising professions in IT and helping them choose a direction for further training and development, informs "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the release of the organizers.
The initiative was realized with the support of Andrey Valeryevich Matyukha and Favbet Foundation, “which systematically develop the direction of digital education in Ukraine”.

It is indicated that the program covered 12 relevant professions in the field of IT and Digital. Among them:
- programming,
- graphic and web design,
- video editing,
- marketing,
- testing,
- product management,
- UI/UX design,
- robotics,
- business analytics,
- Data Science, and
- cybersecurity.
This wide selection allowed each participant to find something close to their own interests.
“It is important for us to create a space where children can not only learn about new professions, but also feel that these opportunities are achievable right now. That is why we invest in programs that help build a foundation for the future development of the younger generation,” said Andrey Matyukha, President of Favbet Foundation.
The power of practice: learning through experience and engagement
A special emphasis during the master class was placed on practical work. Teenagers worked in mini-groups, performing tasks close to real cases in the field of digital technologies. This approach allowed them not only to better assimilate information, but also to get a feel for what the professional environment looks like in various IT areas.
In addition to participating in practical blocks, young people interacted with mentors – specialists with real industry experience.
“They shared their stories, answered questions, explained where they started and how they overcame challenges. And also – gave valuable advice on how not to lose motivation and continue to develop, even when it is difficult,” – say the organizers.
A valuable moment was the fact that part of the master class was conducted by teenagers themselves – students of GoFriends IT Academy. They presented their own learning stories, which inspired their peers.
“This approach creates a sense of accessibility – after all, examples from peers’ lives motivate more than even the best theoretical models”
Post-event support and long-term opportunities
After the masterclass, participants were offered the opportunity to continue their studies at GoFriends IT Academy free of charge. In addition, they were offered to join the summer IT camp, where the main focus will be on informal learning, teamwork and consolidating the knowledge gained in practice.
“This event was part of a larger strategy to support young people that the Favbet Foundation is implementing. The focus is on creating equal opportunities for teenagers regardless of region of residence or level of initial knowledge. Through a systematic approach, the Foundation is gradually building a culture of informed career choice among the younger generation,” the Foundation says.
“We see a great responsibility in helping children take their first steps in professional life. Through such programs Favbet Foundation seeks to support the development of not only sports or education, but also to form a culture of confident, ambitious young people who will drive the future of Ukraine”, – said Andriy Matyukha.
Thanks to such events as “Ticket to IT”, digital education in Ukraine is gradually moving from theoretical to practical. And young people receive not just information, but real opportunities for a start in the profession and their own growth, the authors of the project are convinced.
