Anna Muzychuk won bronze at the Team World Cup in Rapid and Blitz

Ukrainian shazlva grandmaster Anna Muzychuk won a bronze medal in rapid as part of the Freedom team at the World Team Rapid and Blitz Championship, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Nine other chess players, including the legendary five-time world champion Viswanathan Anand, played alongside Muzychuk on the Freedom team. The tournament brought together 54 teams that competed according to the Swiss system for 12 rounds, fielding six players in each match.
Anna Muzychuk, the former 2016 World Rapid and Blitz Champion, played six games in the tournament. Her result was: one victory over Shoka Gaal from Team Hungary, four draws and a defeat against Eline Rebers from Knight Dance in the final twelfth game. Thanks to these results, Muzychuk brought the team three points.

Following the results of all rounds, the Freedom team scored 17 points, which earned them third place and bronze medals. The champion title went to Team MGD1 with 21 points, and Hexamind Chess Team won silver medals with 20 points.
According to the latest June FIDE Women’s Ranking, Anna Muzychuk is ranked seventh in the world with 2535 points.
