The Antimonopoly Committee allowed Kyivstar to acquire Uklon – details of the deal

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine has allowed Kyivstar to acquire a controlling stake in Uklon. This was announced by Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of the AMCU, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
At the AMCU meeting, Kyivstar was allowed to acquire control of UKLON LTD, as well as Tech Uklon, Uklon Corporation and Uklon Ukraine.
“The Committee concluded that the actions of the PrJSC will not lead to structural changes in any of the three product markets involved (online advertising, organization of transportation by passenger vehicles and delivery services),” Kyrylenko wrote.
In December 2024, Kyivstar filed applications with the AMCU to acquire Tech Uklon, Uklon Corporation, Uklon Ukraine, and Cyprus-based UKLON LTD. The regulator’s decision will determine the fate of the deal and affect the possibility of its implementation.
According to media reports, Kyivstar plans to buy Uklon for $40-80 million.
Uklon is the largest taxi service in Ukraine. “Kyivstar is the largest telecom company in Ukraine.
According to YouControl, Uklon finished the first three quarters of 2024 with revenue of UAH 1.2 billion. This is twice as much as in the same period in 2023.
