The Antimonopoly Committee has exposed a collusion between two electrical installation companies, LC Energomir LLC (Lutsk) and EC Ukrenergomontazh LLC (Odesa region), which managed to win five tenders totalling UAH 81 million. This was reported by the press service of the AMCU, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The AMCU found that the companies agreed on the terms of participation in the bidding, thus eliminating competition between them.
In particular, the companies won a tender for the overhaul of power supply networks organised by the Pivdennyi Commercial Sea Port. They also won two tenders for the reconstruction of external power supply networks of the City Clinical Infectious Diseases Hospital organised by the Odesa City Council.
The companies also won two tenders for the repair of a transformer substation organised by Odesa State University of Internal Affairs.
The total expected value of the five procurements was UAH 81,148,745.
For collusion in these tenders, the AMCU fined LC Energomir and EC Ukrenergomontazh UAH 10.2 million.
Now, according to the Law of Ukraine On Public Procurement, these two companies may be denied participation in the procurement procedure based on the fact that they have been held liable for committing anticompetitive concerted actions to distort the results of tenders over the past three years.
