The Asset Recovery and Management Agency has identified significant assets of the defendants in the case of illegal mining in Kirovohrad region. The investigation concerns the activities of officials of a state-owned enterprise and commercial entities that have organized sand mining since 2023 without permits. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the head of the ARMA Olena Duma.
The raw materials were used for the manufacture of reinforced concrete structures, which resulted in significant material damage to the state.
The defendants in the case falsified documents and organized mining without a special permit, violating the legislation on subsoil use.
In the course of the investigation, the agency’s specialists found assets confirming the scale and profitability of the criminal scheme:
- over UAH 89 million in bank accounts
- 52 units of motor vehicles;
- 6 non-residential and 4 residential real estate objects;
- 5 units of sea and river transport;
- 4 units of agricultural machinery with components;
- 3 land plots;
- corporate rights with a nominal value of almost UAH 100 thousand.
All of these assets were promptly transferred to the relevant law enforcement agency for seizure and further transfer to the management of the ARMA.
The agency noted that the scale of the case demonstrates the systemic nature of abuses in the field of subsoil use and emphasizes the importance of economic responsibility for causing damage to the state.
