As a result of a massive nighttime attack by Russian forces on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, some regions have been left without power, and consumption restrictions have been imposed.
This was reported by [Komersant], citing the Ministry of Energy.
On the night of March 14, Russian troops carried out a combined massive attack on energy infrastructure facilities in Kyiv and the Kyiv region. In addition, damage has been reported in other regions of the country due to shelling along the front line.
As of this morning, some consumers in Kyiv, as well as in the Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy, and Kirovohrad regions, remain without power.
Rescue workers and utility crews have already begun emergency repair work where the security situation permits. The main goal is to restore power to consumers as quickly as possible.
Due to the consequences of heavy shelling, stricter measures to limit electricity consumption have been introduced in certain regions. Starting at 8:00 a.m., hourly power outage schedules for the general public and power restriction schedules for businesses and industry are in effect.
