Attack on Russian infrastructure: gas terminal in Krasnodar region damaged

On the night of December 5, Ukrainian drones attacked the port of Temryuk, the operational headquarters of Russia’s Krasnodar Territory reported , citing Russian propaganda media.
“There was a fire. <…> According to preliminary information, there were no casualties, the staff was evacuated,” the headquarters said in a statement.
It is also noted that 32 specialists and 8 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. According to eyewitness videos, a gas terminal caught fire in the port.
The Temryuk seaport is located in the Temryuk Bay of the Azov Sea. It belongs to the Mechel Group. The port’s website states that its main activity is “transshipment of general, bulk (including grain and inert), liquid cargo, leasing of production and storage facilities.” In southern Russia, Temryuk is the main export port for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). It is also used to ship oil cargoes to foreign markets.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry’s report, over the past night, air defense forces “intercepted and destroyed” 41 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones. Of these, 9 were over the Samara region, 8 over the Saratov region, 7 over the Volgograd and Rostov regions, one over the Krasnodar region, and 9 over the occupied Crimea.
Prior to that, Ukraine attacked the port of Novorossiysk in Krasnodar Krai on November 25 and 14. The November 14 strike damaged an oil depot and the port’s coastal facilities. After that, Transneft stopped pumping oil to the port.
on November 10, Ukrainian unmanned boats attacked the seaport of Tuapse in the Krasnodar Territory, where one of the largest oil terminals on the Black Sea is located. One of the drones exploded near the coastline. Ukrainian monitoring channels reported that the boats could have damaged one of the ships in the port. Before that, Tuapse was attacked by drones on November 2. Then, as a result of the falling debris, the infrastructure of the oil terminal and a tanker at the berth were damaged. After that, Rosneft’s Tuapse refinery, located on the Black Sea coast, suspended operations.
