Russia’s attack on Ukraine: “Ukrzaliznytsia warns of train delays

“Ukrzaliznytsia has warned that several sections of its railway lines were cut off as a result of Russian shelling of Ukraine overnight. Experts have used backup power supplies and diesel locomotives, and all trains continue to run. This is reported by the press service of UZ, Komersant ukrainskyi

In particular, in the Kharkiv junction, all trains, including Hyundai Rotem high-speed electric trains, will be operated by diesel locomotive traction.
The Kharkiv railway station has been switched to backup power, all systems are working, and the Fortress of Unbreakable and children’s space are open to visitors.
“Delays of all trains can traditionally be seen on uz-vezemo.uz.gov.ua, and we remind you that if you missed your flight due to shelling and the forced stop of the metro in invincible Kharkiv or elsewhere, we will accept you on the next flight of the same direction with the same ticket,”
– the message reads.

The most massive attack on the energy sector
At night and in the morning of 22 March, Ukrainian energy facilities in a number of regions of Ukraine came under a massive Russian attack.
The defenders managed to destroy 92 air targets: 55 Shaheds and 37 missiles.
There were hits, in particular, in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy, Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
There are casualties.
