BES seizes counterfeit excisable goods worth UAH 5.3 million in Kharkiv region

Detectives of the Poltava region’s Department of Economic Crime exposed an illegal scheme for the purchase and storage of tobacco and alcohol products for sale. Products worth UAH 5.3 million were seized, reports Komersant Ukrainsky , citing the BES press service.

“The investigation identified a group of people who bought alcoholic beverages and tobacco products in several regions for further sale. They delivered and stored counterfeit goods in a private house and garage in Kharkiv region,” the statement said.

It is specified that during the authorised searches, detectives seized more than 51 thousand packs of tobacco products, e-cigarettes, 120 litres of vodka and cognac in transparent containers. The seized goods were seized.

The full range of persons involved in the illegal activity is being established.
