Belgian Prime Minister Bart de Wever spoke about the commitments that the country is ready to take on as part of efforts to ensure peace in Ukraine after the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“Together with a broad coalition of partners, Belgium will take on its share of international efforts to preserve peace in Ukraine after the war,” Wever wrote.
According to the politician, Brussels will focus on air and maritime assets, as well as actively assist in training and instruction for the military.
De Wever emphasized that the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing in Paris was “productive and decisive,” noting in particular the effectiveness of deterrence thanks to the United States’ agreement to support European peacekeeping efforts and monitor the observance of peace.
In December, Belgium rejected the use of frozen Russian assets to finance Ukraine.
