13 November 21:17

On November 12, during the 9th Kyiv Investment Forum in Berlin, a memorandum of understanding in the field of construction was signed between the Kyiv City State Administration and the German startup Crowd Ukraine. The document lays the groundwork for the joint implementation of affordable housing and coworking projects in Kyiv. This was reported by Ukrinform, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

Alex Tebbe, founder of Crowd Ukraine, said that it is the first German investment startup focused on rebuilding Ukrainian real estate after a full-scale war.

What does the cooperation involve?

The first project of the startup is planned to be implemented in Kyiv: houses for young professionals, primarily from the IT sector, which will combine living and working spaces.

Tebbe explained that their goal is to create temporary, affordable, but comfortable housing for the digital generation working in technology or the creative economy.

“Our niche market is the young digital generation. We want to offer housing that is small but very cool,” he said.

What about the investment niche in housing for Ukraine?

The investment niche in housing for Ukraine remains huge: the need for investment in the reconstruction of the housing stock is estimated at more than $80 billion, according to international financial institutions.

Crowd Ukraine was created only a year ago, but it already attracts investors from Germany and other EU countries who want to support Ukraine’s recovery by investing in real projects.
