“The fact that the foundation contains the name of the Ohmatdyt National Children’s Hospital in its name was an additional confirmation for the benefactors that the funds raised would be used for their intended purpose and in no way be used for purposes unrelated to the reconstruction process. As a result, the Foundation received a record amount in a few days. And we had no doubt that these funds would be used to rebuild Okhmatdyt. We could not even imagine such a thing,” Zhovnir wrote.

According to the hospital director, starting from the first public scandals and a request to transfer money for the hospital’s reconstruction from the foundation’s account to the hospital’s account, their communication with the foundation began to deteriorate.

Today, Volodymyr Zhovnir has publicly called on the charity to transfer all the money raised. The hospital is now considering severing relations with the foundation due to their “unfair actions”.

“UAH 378 million is still on their accounts. At the same time, this Fund now says that they are waiting for some targeted needs and grounds for transferring money. And I’d like to remind you of the tender where a contractor was selected as the winner at inflated prices, but then everyone “amicably” cancelled it and promised to hold a new one. So what’s the new tender?” Goncharenko wrote.
