Ukrainian judoka Darya Bilodid has ended her participation in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris after losing her second fight, reports "Komersant Ukrainian"

In the 1/8 finals in the 57kg category, Bilodid met Haruka Funakubo from Japan, a multiple world championship winner. The fight lasted until extra time, where Daria was disqualified due to a third shido (warning).

Thus, Bilodid, who won a bronze medal at the 2020 Olympics, was unable to continue fighting for medals in Paris. Earlier, in the 1/16 finals, the 23-year-old athlete quickly defeated 15-year-old Kiribati representative Neri Tibwa, winning with an appon in just 6 seconds.

On the third day of the competition, Ukraine has not won a single Olympic medal. China leads the medal standings.
