How Caesars and European synergy are helping to pull the soil out from under Russia

In an interview with a French TV channel, French President Macron said that all Caesars produced in 2025 would go to Ukraine. We are talking about 8-12 vehicles per month. A hundred self-propelled artillery systems is a strategic supply that will have a significant impact on the course of hostilities.

Probably, these are not only the vehicles that were planned for Kyiv as part of the international coalition, but also options for the Czech Republic, Portugal, Bulgaria, and Slovenia. As of today, Paris has announced 113 Caesars for delivery, and some of them will be postponed from the 2026 plan.

In the war in Ukraine, artillery remains a key lever for deterring human waves, motorcycle races, counter-battery combat with numerous decommissioned Khrushchev-era barrel systems, and strikes on the tactical rear, including hunting enemy pilots.

“Caesars and the synergy of Europe

“Caesars are a modern fire control system, hit-and-run tactics, and the ability to fire anti-tank Bonuses, high-precision Excalibur, and cluster munitions. They are inexpensive and easy to repair compared to their tracked counterparts, maneuverable, with a good range. An excellent product in terms of price/quality ratio.

They can be quickly scaled up, and 90% of the barrels produced by the French at KNDS are already being exported to Kyiv, probably to replace the ones produced by the Ukrainian company, and as one of the options for equipping Bohdan – only a few EU manufacturers make 52 caliber barrels.

This, by the way, is a great example of how synergy works in the EU military industry.

“Tatra 817 as a single chassis for the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Ukraine, barrels from France for several European plants, and NG Caesars with AI elements that decode the video stream from UAVs, filtering out false ones and identifying camouflaged targets.

In addition, a subsidiary, KNDS Ukraine LLC, will be established in Ukraine with the money from the Russian assets to produce spare parts and consumables for both routine maintenance and combat damage repair.

Thus, Paris became the main manufacturer of wheeled self-propelled vehicles for the entire continent, Kyiv received a reliable rear that is constantly increasing its production rate (4-8-12 vehicles per month), and small countries with economies that are quite powerful by world standards received an investment point that enhances their own security.

No chance for Russia

Moreover, the war in Ukraine will not last forever. It’s obvious that no matter how hard Moscow tries to make a good face at a bad game, the Russians cannot even withdraw from Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, where the invasion began more than 10 years ago.

Moreover, the population of this country had to pay for the territory captured during the 2 years of the offensive, which is the size of Cape Verde, in the form of maimed and killed.

Regardless of how this war ends, the EU will strengthen and modernize its armed forces. This is especially important for the Eastern flank, which borders Russia directly.

This means a huge market. Already today, options from France account for 109 out of 570 vehicles. And the number of people willing to buy equipment that has been tested in the largest war since the Second World War is only growing.

So the EU gets time to develop its defense industry and weaken its potential enemy. We get equipment and spare parts for it, and later localization. Moscow gets the ruins and corpses of its army.

And any advances by Russia will only cause an influx of investment and labor in the West, which will only cause new losses for Russia.

Because no matter how hard you look for gun and self-propelled artillery systems production in Pokrovsk and Chasovyi Yar, it is not there.
