Boguslaev’s arrest extended: court sets record bail at 908 million

The court has extended the preventive measure in the form of detention for the former president of Motor Sich JSC Vyacheslav Boguslaev for another two months – until December 20, 2025, with bail set at UAH 908.3 million.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the Prosecutor General‘s Office.
Bohuslaev is accused of intending to transfer 128 engines manufactured by Motor Sich JSC to representatives of the aggressor state through a foreign legal entity for more than $62 million. Of these, 7 were delivered to illegal armed or paramilitary groups established in the temporarily occupied territory for more than USD 3.4 million.
In addition, he is charged with aiding the aggressor state, participation in a terrorist organization, obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other crimes (Part 4 of Article 111-1, Part 1 of Article 111-2, Part 1 of Article 258-3, Part 1 of Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Public prosecution is supported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.
At the same time, based on the materials of criminal proceedings under the claim of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, the HACC decision of April 18, 2024, imposed a sanction on the accused.
The following was recovered for the state’s revenue:
- 14 real estate objects in Zaporizhzhia region (in particular, residential buildings, land plots, a garage, the fishery “Kosa Obitochna”, administrative buildings); property rights to trademarks and property rights to patents for industrial designs
- corporate rights (51% of Zolota Aistra LLC, 90.1% of Motor-Garant Insurance Company, 100% of Vinnytsia Aviation Plant LLC, 100% of SME Helicopters LLC, 100% of Motor-Bank JSC, 16.7% of Azov Trade-XXI PE);
- 336 firearms;
- cash totaling about UAH 615 million.
The former president of Motor Sich has been in custody since 2022. He was arrested on suspicion of collaboration and aiding the aggressor state. Later, he was also charged with participation in a terrorist organization and obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In March 2025, a former Motor Sich executive who was put on trial in 2023 along with the company’s former president, Viacheslav Bohuslaiev, pleaded guilty and received a suspended sentence. During the trial, he admitted that Motor Sich supplied spare parts to Russia in violation of the ban and that Bohuslaiev knew about it.
