Fighting for Vovchansk: Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff says enemy has tactical success

In the Kharkiv sector, the operational situation remains complex and is changing dynamically. Battles are ongoing for the border town of Vovchansk, and the enemy is gaining tactical success. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“Battles are underway for the border town of Volchansk. The enemy has deployed significant forces to attack the city, consisting of up to 5 battalions, and does not count its own losses. The Russian invaders lost more than 100 occupants in this area alone over the last day. The enemy is currently enjoying tactical success,”
– the General Staff said in a statement.
Fighting isunderway in the areas of Pylyna – Lukianske, Pylyna – Hlyboke, Pylyna – Oliynykove, Murom – Bugrivatka.
In addition, the enemy is conducting assault operations in the areas of Strilecha – Hlyboke, Oliynykove – Hlyboke, Oliynykove – Lukyantsi, Murom – Staritsa, Pletenivka – Tykhyne.
During the day, the enemy carried out 22 assault operations in these areas, 14 of which are still ongoing.
The General Staff noted that Ukrainian defenders are conducting defensive actions, inflicting fire damage on the enemy, and widely using unmanned aerial vehicles to conduct reconnaissance and launch precision strikes to inflict maximum losses.
“We continue to deploy reserves to stabilise the situation. In the course of assigning tasks to the troops, one of the main priorities is to save the lives of our soldiers,”
– the General Staff stressed.
It should be noted that defensive battles continue in Kharkiv region against the Russian occupiers’ attempts to advance and advance deeper. Counter-attacks continue in the areas of Liptsy and Vovchansk.
