Braginsky resigns: who will run the Kyiv metro instead of him

The director of the Kyiv Metro, Viktor Braginsky, has written a letter of resignation. Prior to this, investigative journalists from Bihus.Info discovered that Braginsky’s mother owns two apartments in the capital, and his ex-wife owns luxury real estate and a land plot. Braginsky’s resignation was reported to the Kyiv City State Administration, Kommersant Ukrainian reports

Braginsky has been the head of the Kyiv Metro utility since 2014.

Viktor Vyhivskyi, the chief engineer of the Kyiv Metro, will temporarily perform the duties of the head of the utility.

The day before, Bihus.info journalists published an investigation into embezzlement in the Kyiv metro. They found undeclared property worth 52 million hryvnias in the possession of Braginsky, the head of the subway.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced the temporary suspension of Viktor Braginsky from the post of director of the Kyiv Metro, which he had held for the past ten years.
