Booking and weapons permit: 5 new services to be added to Diia

Five new online services will be available in the Diia app: online marriage, e-booking, birth certificates, marriage, divorce, change of personal data, as well as display of weapons permits and Diia.Signature for legal entities. The Ministry of Digital Transformation team is currently working on more than 100 services at various stages of readiness. In particular, the beta test of online marriage has already begun, closed testing of electronic booking is underway, and enrolment for beta testing of birth, marriage, divorce and name change certificates has started.
Online marriage
This is a service that allows you to get married in the Diia app in a few clicks. This is the first time such a service will be launched in the world. Beta testing of the service is currently underway, with participants registering an official marriage at a distance and evaluating the innovation.
In Diia, the service works in a few clicks: the newlyweds submit an application in the app, certify it with Diia.Signature. After that, on the specified date, they connect to a video conference with the registrar of the Civil Registry Office and go through the usual wedding ritual, but in an online format.
The marriage certificate can be ordered by Ukrposhta delivery to the branch or by courier.
During the beta testing phase, 5 couples got married in Diia, and soon the service will be available to every Ukrainian.
Electronic booking
The Ministry of Digital Transformation, the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Defence are still working on the service.
According to Fedorov, the digitalisation of booking eliminates the human factor and speeds up the process from several weeks to an hour.
Soon the service will be available on the Diia portal for the first category of enterprises – critical and those that meet the needs of the Defence Forces, he said.
Previously, it could take weeks to make a booking, but now it will take only an hour on Diia. And the booking decision will not be made by a human, but by several automatic checks.
Birth certificates, marriage, divorce, change of personal data
In the near future, Diia will also automatically pull up children’s birth certificates. And later, marriage, divorce and name change certificates.
These documents are required when applying for a job, confirming a name change, or applying for benefits.
Displaying a gun permit
The Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are working to ensure that the Diia app displays information about weapons permits and allows you to order an extract from the Unified Register of Weapons in a few clicks.
Diia.Signature for legal entities
As the Minister explained, Diia.Signature for individuals is a tool that will greatly simplify interaction with the state. This will significantly speed up business operations, simplify processes and make the actions of entrepreneurs more transparent.
The government has already adopted a relevant resolution, and the team of the Ministry of Digital Transformation is working on developing the functionality.
