Damage by a Russian air strike to a road bridge in Kherson that connects the city center with the Korabelnyi microdistrict (also known as “Ostrov”) puts the southern part of the city at risk of reoccupation.
Stanislav Bunyatov, the commander of the 24th Aidar assault battalion’s unit with the call sign “Osman,” wrote about this in his Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
According to him, the damage to the bridge over the Kosova River “extremely complicates our logistics and in the long run puts at risk the holding of the southern part of the city, which borders on the occupied part of the region.”
t was reported earlier that on Saturday, August 2, at about 18:00, Russian aircraft attacked Kherson, dropping guided bombs.
According to the JFO, the shelling damaged a road bridge leading to the Korabel neighborhood.
