The new Czech government is developing a system of state guarantees and insurance for domestic businesses planning to enter the Ukrainian market.

This was stated in a comment to Ukrinform by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Karel Havlíček, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".

According to him, Ukraine was previously among the five most important trading partners of the Czech Republic among countries outside the European Union, and he believes that this will continue to be the case.

During the war, mutual trade decreased, but now it is growing again, Havlíček noted.

Therefore, the Czech government is seeking to prepare high-quality programs, primarily of a guarantee and insurance nature, to protect Czech companies.

The official assured that the government will ensure that Czech companies in Ukraine have interesting and good contracts, and also recalled the Czech Republic’s support for Ukraine, in particular financial and material support, in receiving refugees, etc.

“We will ensure that we are not sidelined in these trade relations, but have a fair opportunity to participate in interesting tenders and supplies in the field of energy, transport infrastructure, such as the construction of hospitals, etc.,” he said.
