Due to a Russian attack: Chernihiv and most of the region are without power

Chernihiv was left completely without power on Saturday, March 21. The city lost power due to Russian strikes on energy facilities in the region.

Vyacheslav Chaus, head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, specified that the Russians attacked an energy facility in the Nizhyn district using “Geran” drones. Customers in three districts of the region remain without power, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".

In addition, on the morning of March 21, the enemy struck the Snovsk community with a “Geran” drone. A house was damaged, and a farm building caught fire.

This was reported by the press service of the Chernihiv City Council. All critical and social infrastructure facilities are switching to alternative power sources.

As a result of the enemy attack, a critical energy facility in the Nizhyn district was damaged. 430,000 customers in the Nizhyn, Pryluky, and Chernihiv districts are without power, according to the report

The Chernihiv Regional State Administration confirmed that early this morning, the enemy attacked an energy facility in the Nizhyn district. Due to the strikes, most of the Chernihiv region was left without power. Power engineers have already begun emergency repair work.
