Due to the energy crisis: sales of electric cars in Ukraine plummeted in February

In February, Ukraine’s vehicle fleet was expanded by 1,074 battery electric vehicles (BEVs).
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference toUkravtoprom.
Compared to February last year, demand for electric vehicles decreased by 76%. Compared to January 2026, the decline was 63%.
Most of the registered electric vehicles are passenger cars. During the month, 1,013 units were registered, of which 144 were new and 869 were used.
The commercial electric transport segment was significantly smaller: of the 61 registered vehicles, only 10 were new.

It should be noted that in January 2026, the Ukrainian electric car market saw an almost complete collapse in imports.
