Ukraine’s men’s volleyball team has reached the final four of the Euroleague. The women are out

The final rounds of the Golden Euroleague Volleyball group tournament took place over the weekend. The men’s national team of Ukraine took third place in the championship and qualified for the final four. The women’s national team of Ukraine finished fifth and finished the competition, reports [Kommersant]
On 31 May, the Ukrainian men defeated Portugal 3-1 (25:16, 17:25, 25:22, 25:23). This victory has already guaranteed the Ukrainian national team a place in the playoffs. After that, on 2 June, Ukraine lost to Belgium with a score of 2-3 (20:25, 25:15, 25:21, 25:27, 11:15).
Thus, in the final four, Ukraine will play the Czech Republic and Croatia will play Estonia. The matches will take place on 15-16 June.
The Ukrainian women’s national team was left out of the final four. The team failed the game weekend, losing first to the Czech Republic with a score of 0:3 (20:25, 19:25, 22:25), and then to Belgium with a score of 1-3 (21:25, 28:26, 18:25, 23:25).
Ukraine took 5th place in the tournament, losing to Sweden, which took the fourth qualifying position, only by additional indicators. Thus, the Ukrainian national team, the winner of last year’s Euroleague, failed to defend the title and stopped fighting for victory.
The men’s final four matches will be broadcast on Suspilne Sport TV channel, regional channels and on the Suspilne website. In addition, Euroleague matches can be watched on the DiviSport YouTube channel.
