Ukraine’s men’s national team becomes European champion in artistic gymnastics

Ukraine has become the European champion in the men’s artistic gymnastics team all-around. This was reported by the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Komersant ukrainskyi 
reports.
The European Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Championships have ended in Rimini, Italy. On the final day of the competition, the winners in the team all-around were determined.
The Ukrainian team of Ilya Kovtun, Oleg Vernyaev, Nazar Chepurny, Igor Radivilov and Radomir Stelmakh scored 255.762 points and won the team all-around for the second time in its history.
The second place went to the gymnasts from Great Britain (255.429 points), and the third to the representatives of Italy (252.560 points).
“The last time the Ukrainian team climbed to the podium of the continental championship was in 2020 – then, as well as today, our gymnasts won,”
– said the NOC of Ukraine.
Throughout the history of its performances in the team all-around at the European Championships, Ukraine has won four medals (gold, silver, and two bronze). Today’s gold is the fifth.
During the 2024 Continental Championships, the Ukrainians won 6 medals: three gold, two silver (one of them by a junior) and one bronze.
The World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Rimini (Italy) on 24-28 April.
