A man with a shotgun “stormed” Trump’s residence.

23 February 00:21

US Secret Service agents shot and killed an armed man who attempted to enter the grounds of US President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a statement by US Secret Service spokesman Anthony Guglielmi on social media and a post by CBS News journalist Jennifer Jacobs.

Guglielmi said the incident occurred on the morning of February 22. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed – all that is known is that he was 20 years old.

The man, armed with a weapon and carrying a fuel canister, was spotted at the north gate of the residence. US Secret Service agents and a deputy sheriff approached him, which escalated into a confrontation.

As a result, law enforcement officers opened fire. Neither Secret Service agents nor officers were injured in the confrontation.

It is noted that no one was in the residence at the time of the shooting. Trump is currently in Washington.

Attempts on Trump’s life

In September 2024, Ryan Routh positioned himself with a weapon near the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, which is owned by Trump, with the intention of shooting the politician during his presidential campaign.

Ruth, who attempted to shoot Trump on a golf course in Florida in 2024, was subsequently sentenced to life imprisonment.

It should be noted that the shooting incident at Trump’s golf club occurred almost exactly two months after Thomas Matthew Crooks shot Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on July 13, wounding him in the ear.
