11 April 15:08
Energy companies are doing everything they can to ensure that Ukrainian families have electricity over the Easter holidays.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing a Telegram post by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Prime Minister said she held a coordination meeting with the leadership of Ukrenergo and other stakeholders regarding the current situation in the power grid.
They coordinated joint actions to maintain the stable operation of the power grid, particularly regarding the increase in electricity imports.
“The power grid is operating stably. We are doing everything possible to ensure that electricity supply is guaranteed in the coming days—without blackouts or scheduled outages. It is important that Ukrainian families have electricity during the Easter holidays,” Svyrydenko noted.
The electricity situation in Ukraine
As a reminder, according to expert forecasts, the power grid could stabilize as early as April. The load on the grid will decrease due to rising temperatures and the end of the heating season.
At the same time, according to forecasts by Oleksandr Kharchenko, director of the Center for Energy Research, power outage schedules may be reinstated on a daily basis as early as this summer. This is due to a seasonal increase in consumption levels.
