Will the summons to the parole board be served if the data is updated in the “Reserve” – explanation of the lawyer

Starting from 18 May, men liable for military service have 60 days to update their military registration data. This can be done at the territorial recruitment centres (TCCs), the Reserve app or the ASCs. More than 1.3 million Ukrainians have already updated their data online, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

In a comment to RBC-Ukraine, lawyer Kateryna Anishchenko explained what would happen if the staff of the recruitment centres met those who updated their data online on the street.

“When a person liable for military service updates their data in the ‘Reserve’ application, law enforcement officials or employees of the MCC and JV will be able to see this information during the verification. This will mean that the person has complied with the law and will not be fined for not updating the data,”

– says the lawyer.

However, the next step for such men will be to receive a summons to the military medical commission (MMC).

“People who have already updated their data online will receive a referral to the MEC and implement it. There will be a function available: when checking, it will be seen that the person is registered in the register and whether the referral to the MEC has been implemented,”

– anishchenko explained.

For those who have not yet updated their data, the procedure will be similar – they will be sent to the MCC for updating, which includes undergoing a pre-employment medical examination. In the future, TCC employees are promised to be provided with information on the number of summonses received by a person, but so far there is no such functionality.

Meanwhile, the Council is considering extending the period for updating data in the TCC to 150 days.
