Where are the highest and lowest pensions in Ukraine: latest statistics from the Pension Fund of Ukraine

The Pension Fund of Ukraine has released data on the average pension as of 1 April 2024, and also noted where the highest and lowest payments are in the country, Komersant ukrainskyi
reports.
In total, there are 10.2 million pensioners in Ukraine, and the average pension is UAH 5,743.
Among the regions of Ukraine, Kyiv has the highest pensions – UAH 7,848. This is followed by Rivne (UAH 7,205), Donetsk (UAH 7,017), Luhansk (UAH 6,525) and Dnipro (UAH 6,333) regions.

The lowest average pensions in Ukraine are in the following regions:
- Ivano-Frankivsk – UAH 4,877;
- Khmelnytsky – 4870 UAH;
- Zakarpattia – 4615 UAH;
- Chernivtsi – UAH 4597;
- Ternopil – UAH 4399.

According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, as of 1 April 2024, more than 60% of pensioners receive a pension of up to UAH 5,000.
Distribution of pensioners by pension amount:
- Pensioners with a pension of upto UAH 3,000 are the largest group, covering more than 2.7 million people or 26.8% of all pensioners. The average pension in this category is UAH 2,761.58.
- More than 1.7 million people, or 17.3% of all pensioners, receive pensionsbetween UAH 3,001 and UAH 4,000 . The average pension is UAH 3,548.08.
- From UAH 4,001 to UAH 5,000 – this group includes almost 1.9 million people, or 18.6% of all pensioners. The average pension is UAH 4,415.87.
- From UAH 5,001 to UAH 10,000 – this category includes more than 2.5 million people, or 25.2% of all pensioners. The average pension is UAH 8,643.67.
- More than UAH 10,000 – this category includes more than 1.2 million pensioners, accounting for 12.1% of all pensioners. The average pension is UAH 15,268.49.
