10 March 2025 15:36
American businessmen are paying up to $5 million for the opportunity to meet with US President Donald Trump in person at his Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida. And participation in a group dinner with him costs $1 million. This was reported by WIRED, citing its own sources who are familiar with the terms of such meetings, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
According to the sources, it is now possible for business leaders to arrange a private meeting with US President Donald Trump in Mar-a-Lago if they are willing to pay $5 million. And an invitation obtained by WIRED says that for the so-called “candlelight dinner” held last Saturday, potential participants were asked to pay $1 million to reserve a seat.
“You are invited to a candlelit dinner with special guest President Donald Trump. Additional information will be provided upon confirmation of participation. The number of seats is strictly limited. Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost of participation is $1 million per person,”
– the invitation states
At the same time, the invitation emphasizes that Trump is speaking at the event solely as an invited guest and does not call for financial contributions or donations. The event took place on March 1 and was listed in the president’s official schedule as the “MAGA INC Financial Candlelight Dinner.” This is the only event with this name that has appeared on Trump’s official schedule since he took office.
And for $5 million, the publication claims, you can buy a private dinner with Trump.

The money will go “to the library”
It is not known for certain where the funds raised will go, but according to one source familiar with the organization of these meetings, the money will be “used for the library”-probably to create a presidential library for Trump after his term ends.
At the same time, this news caused concern among many in the United States. After all, if the President of the United States takes money for private meetings, it is likely that he may also take money for some other services. That is, if this is true, there are objective grounds to suspect Donald Trump of corruption. At the same time, it is not yet known whether the US law enforcement agencies have taken an interest in this story.
Donald Trump: one of the most scandalous presidents in US history
Donald Trump is one of the most controversial figures in US history, a businessman, entertainer, and the 45th and now 47th president of the country. After his defeat in 2020, he did not recognize the election results, provoked the storming of the Capitol, and faced a number of criminal charges. However, this did not stop him from returning to the White House in 2024, defeating Joe Biden in what became one of the most polarizing elections in American history.
His first term (2017-2021) was filled with scandals, two impeachments, and numerous investigations. He split society, attacked the media, broke political traditions, and continued to run his own business while in office. In 2020, he lost to Biden, but launched a “stolen election” campaign that ended with his supporters attempting to storm Congress on January 6, 2021. After that, he was investigated, and in 2023-2024, a number of charges were brought against him, including financial fraud, concealment of classified documents, and attempted election fraud.
Despite the lawsuits, Trump was able to mobilize his voter base and won in 2024, using the rhetoric of fighting against the “corrupt establishment.” His second presidential term has already begun with controversial decisions, including intentions to drastically change US foreign policy and stop supporting Ukraine.
Trump remains a figure who is both adored and hated. For his supporters, he is a leader who is fighting the “deep state” and returning America to traditional values. For his critics, he is a threat to democracy who undermines institutions of power and uses the system to his own advantage.
